Coley Creative on Etsy

After a long hiatus, I’ve gotten back into crafting and working to grow my Etsy shop. My shop has been open since 2014 but it was previously a second thought/back burner/side project hub. Recently I’ve been taking time to put more effort into my shop, and I’ve been creating a ton of inventory to add. My shop is mostly known for these original Comic Book Magnets that I make using old comic books, recycled bottle caps.

I love checking out the local comic book shops on the weekends, coming home and reading them, then chopping them up to create my own story in a 4-set of magnets. Comic book lovers, don’t worry, most of these are reprints or cheaper comic books, I wouldn’t want to upset the comic book community by cutting precious vintage versions or collector items. That being said, just because they’re less expensive reprints doesn’t mean the quality isn’t there. I take great care into making sure each set is the best quality and take time to make each magnet is beautifully finished.

There have been a ton of great movies out lately that have inspired me to keep making these magnet sets. In my shop you’ll see everything from Captain America to Captain Marvel, Batman and the Joker to X-men and Spider-Man. If you don’t see a set that you like, just bookmark/follow my shop and check back frequently. On average I create about 10-20 sets per week so there’s always something new to check out. If you want to make a custom request I’m open to that as well! Just shoot me a message and let me know what you’d like to see. Additionally, follow my Facebook, Pinterest and Instagram to stay up to date on everything Etsy that I’m working on.

PS Special thanks and shout out to Jules Tillman of Creating Beautifully for teaching a great Skillshare class that helped kick-start my inspiration to get my shop back up and running. Her class was super easy to understand and fun to watch. If you have an Etsy shop and are in need of help to get yours reaching it’s full potential, definitely check out her class.

Jedi Mind Trick

1 Oz Malibu Coconut Rum
1 ½ Oz White Rum
1 Oz Blue Curacao
1 ½ oz Pineapple-Coconut Juice
Lime Lacroix

Combine rum, curacao and pineapple-coconut juice. Separate into two glasses, add ice and top with lime LaCroix. Add a glow cube and stir using the Force or, you know, a stir stick/spoon.

Qui-Gon Gin & Tonic

Classic Gin & Tonic with a little food coloring and a glow cube. I used one drop of green food coloring and one drop of yellow to get that iconic green lightsaber look.

Sith Holocron

1 oz Black Cherry Rum
1 oz cherry pucker
½ oz grenadine
½ oz vanilla rum

Pour alcohol in a cocktail shaker with ice and shake. Strain into an old fashioned glass and add ice and sprite. Add a glow cube and ignite double-bladed lightsaber and yell “Kenobi!” in your best Sith voice.
