It took me a while to realize I even did this, but sometimes on Thursday/Friday nights I drink wine and design random things for no reason. No clients, only pretend ones in my head. I have no idea why I do this but I'm going to blame it on procrastination of housework and just a creative outlet.

This week my clients were Clyde and Greta. A retired couple in their 60s who are opening a tea and wine bar in Chicago. They want it to be a hip place for college kids to come to work on their thesis paper while also looking to create a place for people their own age to come for a nice relaxing atmosphere and great drinks.

I'm weird, I know, but guess what, I don't care. You know you wish this was a real place.

Go96.3 Go Fest '15

Earlier this summer local radio station Go96.3 put out a call for entries for their Go Fest 15 poster contest. My design made it to the top 12, then to the top 5, and finally selected as the official poster for Go96.3 Go Fest '15. I won VIP tickets to the show as well as some cash and a signed poster by all the bands.

Pillsbury Star Wars Day

I designed something that ended up in AdWeek Magazine! For the past two years I have had the privilege of designing assets for a widely celebrated annual holiday.

I'm talking about May the 4th, also known as Star Wars Day. For Star Wars Day 2015, we came up with a simple yet effective concept to market Pillsbury's cinnamon rolls... a.k.a... Princess Leia Cinnamon Roll Buns.

I brought in some vintage action figures I had on hand for a photoshoot and came up with this:

The previous year we gave the Pillsbury Doughboy a lightsaber. I also dressed up the Doughboy as an X-Wing pilot.
